Safety Fencing for Mersey Gateway Bridge

CLD Fencing Systems has won the contract to supply almost 5km of its 2.1m high Eclipse Profiled Mesh Panel Safety Fencing to the Mersey Gateway Project in Cheshire. The project will see the building of a brand new £600m six-lane toll bridge over the River Mersey between Runcorn and Widnes.
Expected to open in Autumn 2017, CLD Fencing Systems was contacted to offer a Perimeter Security Solution for the on-going site. Northern Sales Director; Russell Wells worked hard with the consortium to come up with a cost effective fencing system that didn’t cut on security. “Looking at the current and ongoing security needs for the project; it was apparent that the product of choice was our Eclipse Fencing System” said Russell, “With its wrap around steel security clips and 30mm projecting steel spikes, we have been able to design a system that meets all the requirements for the Mersey Gateway Project.” The Eclipse panel of mesh fencing is a popular choice for Business Parks, Logistic Parks and Depots, Retail Premises and Transport.

The Fencing will be finished in RAL6005; Green Polyester Powder Coating after being Galvanised so the bridge can cope with their new location by one of the busiest rivers in the United Kingdom. Work on the mesh fencing is due to start over the coming months and is yet another great example of how the vast range of CLDs Fencing Systems are used around the globe to provide a secure solution to their customers.
